About the Event
Course Overview: Students will learn easy to use risk-reduction strategies to recognize and discourage threats.
Develop an understanding of situational awareness.
Simple self-defense techniques to protect against an attack.
How to use pepper spray effectively in a self-defense situation.
*Students will receive a live can of Pepper Spray upon completion of the class
Course Length: 3 Hours
Course Topics: Students will have the opportunity to spray practice spray at a live target. We will teach you to move to safety along with situational awareness drills.
No Live Pepper Spray is used in this class
You will learn: The effects of pepper spray, both physiological and psychological, Proper stance, presentation, and deployment of a defensive spray, accurately aim pepper spray at an attacker, how best to alert emergency services
Pre-requisites: No prior experience required. 18yrs of age and older, 15-17 yrs of age with Parental/Guardian permission
